My name’s Jimmy Lange, but my nickname’s The Hopeful Hierophant. I’m a natural optimist who uses the word hope often, because I want those around me to achieve their dreams. I’m also a Taurus, which, in the zodiac and tarot ties to The Hierophant. (Fittingly, I was also an English professor in my younger years. To any prior students currently reading this: I’m sorry.)
I wrote the first draft of this About section in the third-person, but it didn’t really sound like me. So after taking time to meditate, I’ve decided to describe myself in my purest form.
I’m an oddball creative driven by my ties to poetry, philosophy, spirituality, music, and nature. My background and personal passions leave me with a lot to say about the human experience. As a writer, I watch the world and use what I see to compose stories and poetry that examine the depths of existence.
My writings reflect on how cultural practices and societal norms effect human behaviors. I blend the real and imaginary to create endless possibilities for how humans could live.
I podcast to share my thoughts while also inviting others to share their opinions. And through discussing each episode’s topic, I expand my own perception of what it means to be human. I put my energies toward trying to evolve my empathy. I seek to embrace a new headspace, whether through an imagined character or a real-life peer.
I share, hoping others will respond.
Apart from my creative pursuits, I’m a fashionable dresser with a lot of flair. (90s-themed jacket covered in pins and buttons). I use my personable nature, educational background, open-mindedness, and humor to engage others.
Beyond writing and podcasting, I also pull daily tarot cards to gain a sense of where I’m headed next in life. I trust the cards and the cards trust me.
My tarot services enable me to use my natural connection with the cards to offer guidance to others.
The custom jewelry and divination tools I offer fuel my desire to help empower others. The products I sell enable people to find peace, strength, confidence, and self-love.
The first-person version of me may sound more plain and simple than the third-person. But now you know who I am, and what I’m after.
And as I’ve said in Episode 0 of The Hopeful Hierophant, there’s nothing more important than learning to be yourself.
